Remember making snowflakes in elementary school by folding a piece of paper in fourths, then snipping a design? Well, that s how this 1920 s Schnit Cut Fleur de Lis pattern was made - VERY FOLKY! The maker made 16 cotton blocks, HAND APPLIQUING the Indigo blue printed Fleur de Lis cutouts to a bright white background, surrounding each block with three 3/4 wide strips of sashing, and using a running Fleur de Lis applique for the border. The quilt measures 74 x 74 , has a thin cotton batting, a machine applied binding, and a bright white back. Minimally HAND QUILTED with outline quilting around each applique and circle quilting in the centers @ 7 to 8 stitches per inch. PROFESSIONALLY HAND LAUNDERED, we found no rips, tears or odors, just a couple very light and tiny spots, a couple fabric misprints on the Indigo sashing and some very light sun fading as shown in the full view photo. VERY GRAPHIC, CLEAN & STILL CRISP!!
