-STYLE: Art Nouveau -TECHNIQUE: Manufacture Dust pressed clay tile using a mould & horsehead press- then burned- Decoration Relief and Tubelined molded majolica. Decorated with colored glazes. -COLORS: 3 -FACTORY: Marsden Tile Co. Ltd. 1889/55. – England -DIMENSIONS: 6 x 6 -APROXIMATE DATE: ca 1900 Relief molded tile with a central art nouveau design flower. Very stylish and nice watercolor like. Incredibly smooth surface. - CONDITION: This tile is in perfect condition, no flaws or repairs exist. It has a cracking that is a result of its production. Cement on reverse was carefully removed so minimal traces are remaining. Surface, as you can see, has a firm color and smooth glaze surface. Only minimal scratches and tiny chips may be seen, but this is nothing for a more than 100 year old architectural piece.
